- This was a very dry piece of Laburnum and very very hard, possibly the hardest piece of wood I have ever turned. Finished with acrylic varnish.

Where do you get the arm rest that you use to get the nub out when hollowing it out 6:58
I don't understand what it is you are referring to? 👀
Hansel and Gretel!
Thanks for watching! 😊
Buen video que marca y qué medida tiene esa guía de cañón donde la puedo cosaguir envíame el link
I wonder how good a vase would look with this wood?
That's a very good idea, maybe I'll do that. 👍😊
Beautiful bowls but please make a simple sled for cross cutting any round stock on the bandsaw - any “grab” can induce huge rotational forces and if hand held could end in severe injury/ premature ending of your wonderful Woodturning!
Thanks for watching David! 😊
great work Martin.
would it be possible/wise to turn an end grain bowl from Ash?
Thanks Brian. I have never turned Ash so I'm the wrong person to ask. Although I see no reason why not. If I had some I would try it! 😊
Where do you get the arm rest that you us when hollowing it out.
Another great result, like the end grain side grain pairing Martin. How wet / dry was the wood to begin with ?
Thanks Paul. It was too dry for turning, the centre was so hard it was hard to keep the chisel from vibrating! 😊
Perfect wonderful wood...but beware : not foodsafe at all !
Thanks for watching! 😊
What kind of finish do you use? They shine up nice.
Thanks for watching, it's acrylic varnish. 😊
What is the tool you are using to clean the inside bottom of the first bowl.
It's a home made hollowing tool.
Hi Martin
Awesome job. What finish did u use?
Thank you! Acrylic varnish. 😊
what is the name of the drill bit that you used to make the hole for the face plate and where can I purchase it? Thanks

@@MartinWoodhead Thanks
May I ask where did you get that bowl rest with the swivel .. never ran across any thing like it... LOVE that bowl !
Thanks Cecil, it's a Woodcut Irons Tool Gate, not sure where to buy you'll have to have a look online. 😊
@@MartinWoodhead Axminster Tools have them.
Superbe ! Quel est ce bois ?
Merci, c'est Laburnum! 😊
