Froch is no Sugar Ray but tough as old boots and a winner attitude. Super strong right up to the end.
Not really a fair match up, a different time, Ray had over 200 fights and 174 wins... Thats crazy stuff

Can't stand when the commentators can't maintain their composure. When Froch had Taylor hurt at the end, the one guy was going nuts like he had money on the fight. Totally unprofessional.

Yes, it's very annoying and this screeching is primarily favoured by American boxing commentators. And another irksome thing is they never SHUT UP, and commentate is if they're on the radio and we can't see what's happening.
Bs. Not at all. That's 2 Americans thinking Taylors winning this all day.. That commentary is genuine shock he's about to be knocked out. Great commentary, real feelings, no bias and true emotion. Boxing as it should be

Taylor's losses to Pavlic and Froch were psychop's when you knock a fighter down and don't finish he is now immune to your punch. It is like getting a flu shot! Taylor should never have backed off and went all out the next 3 rounds even if he burned out. That is why he lost. You cant get back punch pressure omce you loose it.
He would never have knocked Froch out.

JT F’d up because he wanted to impress the likes of Larry Merchant and Jim Lamply (HBO commentators at the time) and the crowd that loves bar brawls and club parking lot fighting. He was trying to walk down guys that were harbinger than him like Pavlik (Pavlik actually thanked JT for fighting like that after their fight). All this while Merchant and Lamply were condemning and shaming Mayweather for using the ring and selectively picking his shots.
This was on Showtime, so that's absolute bs 👍🏻
@ Obviously I was talking about when he was fighting on HBO genius, he stuck to that same style which may have given him earlier success but he never evolved
