G'chsi, Fourth of Mor'Chai
Codename: G'chsi, the Possessor
Fourth Construct of Mor'Chai
Powers include possession, minor necromancy, increased strength
While other Constructs were found by the priests of Mor'Chai in one fashion or another, G'chsi was created due to the twisted inquisitiveness of Au'Torms.
At the time, The Creator was investigating the strange beings of L'Qi, an island outside the jurisdiction of both Churches. Not exactly mushroom folk, the beings fed upon the rotten landscapes the island provided. Intrigued by the possibilities of enlisting these beings for the military, he captured one and experimented on them. He discovered the beings had a unique symbiosis with various types of fungi. Investigating further, The Creator took the being and infused it with various techno-magic.
The result was G'chsi.
By this time, the being's nervous system was fried, and their brain tissue almost destroyed. As a final attempt to save the being, Au'Torms doused them in a liquid fertilizer of sorts. A week of constant feeding, and the being was deemed well enough to walk around. They forgot their previous life, and Au'Torms made them believe he created them.
The Church, after looking through the results, deemed them fit for battle. Thanks to the techno-magics, it was discovered that G'chsi could possess the dead, but at a cost of them needing to feed upon the corpses. Soon, rumors began floating around of a creature who would take the battlefield dead and manipulate them, using them for an undead army. The rumors, of course, were not too far from the truth, for G'chsi learned he could infuse himself into the dead, and rarely, the living.
After M'Inchros' betrayal, he began showing signs of remembering his past life and went over to his home island to find it destroyed by the war, the various folk there twisted by Mor'chai's and Sh'Tol's powers. The fledgling god, The Great Father, found him there, and the deity purged the Construct and the isle, leaving the survivors able to rebuild as much as they could. G'chsi's people soon became one of the first followers of The Great Father, and they lived in peace until Mor'Chai's release 500 years later.
But that is another story for another time.
