Exactly this emotion I want to be portrayed. Tho I thought it will be more like other sports anime that resolve around team. And I believe the statement from beginning screams there will be no team. The graphics are amazing can't wait for more

I like spokons in general but I can't read/watch football ones not bc they're not good is just the fact that in particular is kinda boring for me, I found BL for the artsyle and stayed, I have been reading the manga almost from the very beginning and I'm so happy to se the anime and it looks good so far 😊😊 I just can feel more excited even if I know what will happen

Episode was great, I like that MC is doing the opposite of what most sports anime would do , instead of the show being about teamwork , it’s the opposite which made it instantly stand out, the action was great

The first episode introduced us to the characters and the beginning of the blue lock facility where 300 players have to survive and one best striker will be chosen among those to become the best striker of the world. The animation is crispy and the characters are interesting. It will be going to be interesting !!!

This anime is almost exactly what I wanted, a anime with football that is better or near as good as inazuma eleven, and it finally came. It looks good and the story is pretty decent too, I can't wait till the next episode!

after watching n reading ao ashi whole spring n summer this felt like kung fu hustle but it was expected as this is shonen n ao ashi was more of seinen. the first ep set up the overall environment for our mc n introduced many characters n a very creepy mentor (who which I may also add looks like guy in orange track suit from the despicables lol); i feel like i should expect lots of action from this one, I'm already enjoying the animation n voice acting let's wait for few more weeks to see wheather this will grow on me or not.

Great and amazing first episode!!
I watch the "anti-futbol" lesson It is an unusual practice in youth due to their self-centered thinking, but it is valid for a striker if he wants to succeed.

I enjoyed it!!! kekeke

Okay so I'm guessing those who are praising this to be a good or even better than that anime never even touched a soccer ball in their entire life or even touched a random ball in their life. I mean seriously this looks like a more of edgy character anime rather than an actual soccer anime. BTW Japanese football team isn't that bad they were on brink on defeating Belgium at world cup 2018 Haraguchi and Inui did a perfect job scoring just after half time which was brilliant but know what turned around for the Belgium team which was a fine teamwork skills provided by playmakers like Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne. They also had the audacity to claim some nameless made up character to be better than Ronaldo who btw has 700 club goals under his belt.BTW where was Ronaldo when he was needed at Euro finals 2016 oh yeah he got injured in the first half and from then onwards we saw a different Portugal side which wasn't even known to Ronaldo and after winning the euro he even praised the team. Someone in the comment section was saying that this isn't how soccer is played in this world & I totally agree with him.

Sorry, but this is not my cup of tea. I'm more into sports anime that focus on team work like Haikyuu. If anyone else feels the same way I recommend watching Ao Ashi. It's an amazing soccer/football anime

Yeah those who are calling themselves soccer fan and praising this are hypocrites of our society

I've been waiting for the anime adaptation of Blue Lock to drop since it was first announced! Initially, a part of me was a bit nervous about whether it would remain loyal to the themes, character interpretations, and overall plot of the original, but the first episode alone drove that all out.

The art style alone is amazing, with bright, vibrant colors and emphasized motions. It does a wonderful job of capturing the intensity of each scene, whether in the final seconds leading up to pivotal scenes or even the emotional aftermath of them. I was blown away by the particular attention given to the characters' eyes: the additional shading makes all the difference, and the way they change design entirely in more horror-esque moments to emphasize a darker, more deranged side of the characters (looking at Ego for that one) really stays loyal to the manga's art style.

I knew the adaptation did everything right the moment I saw Bachira curled up on the floor, even dreaming about playing in a match. His scenes, while limited for now, are already epic, and I can't wait to see more of his lax, cocky style animated like that.

Overall, I'm really looking forward to the rest of the show, and have no doubt it'll continue to balance loyalty to the original manga with capturing the attention and hearts of both old and new fans alike!

This might be one of the few times where I just have to say that I think this show might just be too anime for me. This truly feels like the anti-Ao Ashi. And unfortunately, I think my preferences for a sports anime firmly lie on the Ao Ashi side of things.

I even like battle royale type shows, but with the premise and the execution that is showcased here, I'm just... not convinced. Just feels too over-the-top and shallow from the get-go.

[SPOILER-FREE] The concept lends itself way better to the anime than to the manga. Seeing the games in the manga were confusing at best and boring at worst. Ended up dropping the manga because of that reason. The fun of watching a sport is seeing the play-by-play, the action, and the improvisation of players as the game's developing. That's just not possible to do as impactfully or as hype in manga format in my opinion.

Regardless, fantastic first episode. Can't wait to see more and it might even convince me to pick the manga back up because it was just that good.

Even though the art quality wasn't the best, I was surprised by how much I still liked the ep!

They did a really good job with keeping things tense and emotional at the same time with the music and animations. Even though I knew exactly what was going to happen, it still got me really excited and pumped ^^. Really looking forward to watching the rest of the series this season ٩(ˊ ᗜ `*)و
