| Umm, I'm no elitist, but I wouldn't go so far as to tout Demon Slayer as the best show of all time...That really is just a subjective opinion. I enjoyed Demon Slayer very much, but as a light Shonen watch. It definitely doesn't bring in anything new to the table, but I did still love it nonetheless and can't wait for the upcoming seasons. But even Demon Slayer has its own demographics and intended audience, so it's not likely that it's everyone's cup of tea. I think a show has to tell a full story first before anyone can go an declare it to be the best, and the anime itself is nowhere near the end, so to say you've finished the manga, then that's a separate discussion on which manga is the best. A lot of people go for FMAB because it's clear, concise, and has a definitive ending. But again, I'm only talking about Shonen. A shojo fan would prefer something like a romcom or a slice of life. a seine fan might prefer something more gritty and gruesome. A josei fan might want a more mature and detailed story. In my honest opinion, the best anime show would have to be one that can appeal to the majority of the anime community and recieve high appraisal. |
