So let's get right into the first category. The category of the unsung heroes, that rarely shine as bright as their Main Character Counterparts, however despite limited screentime the spark of some of these still lights a flame in peoples hearts that makes these people root for them.

A sequel is never as good as the original. - is what some people might say when it comes to most forms of media. However these shows proved that an already existing show can be a stepping stone to launch something much great...and MAL Scores tend to say otherwise as well.

Making an original show is sometimes much harder then writing something based on an already existing source. You need to come up with new ideas and fast to get the story done in time for the airing schedule. Yet it can be also rewarding to write a story from the ground up knowing that it will be brought to the screen. The next few shows are the most outstanding examples of these shows.

There are two different types of bad when it comes to anime. On one side there are the shows that are just bad because they are boring or filled with plot holes. On the other hand there are the shows that are so hilariously bad, that you can't help but laugh at them and have a positive experience that doesn't reflect in your MAL scores. For this category we look at the second kind the shows that are So Bad It's Good.

Atmosphere. In a good show there are a lot of things that contribute to this. There are background images, the placement of the characters, the expressions and ofc. there is sound. Without sound most scenes don't work. Be it an upbeat happy tune to celebrate good times, a somber melody that gives time to reflect or an adrenaline filled rock piece, each show has it's own way of presentation and it's own music selection. In this category we honor the shows, their music and their composers that brought us some of the most beautiful OSTs in a tough 2020

We all know those shows that try to make use of crappy CGI, have boring backrounds or have low detailed background characters. Those shows where an epic fight scene is adapted with barely any motion and a scene that is supposed to be emotional, just turns out to be dull. The following shows did are what are deemed to do nothing of those sorts in 2020.
