Emotions running high this episode. Those tears ;_;

As for the performances, I think Michele Crispino did a decent job. His sister Sara is proud of him! They have such a close bond.
However, I think the one that stood out the most would be Yurio this episode. What a performance, holy shit. Might be his best one yet. This Yuri vs Yurio rivalry has gotten so intense!

Happy belated birthday my cutie pie Yuuri!!
Wow, this episode was intense. Initially, I was really nervous for Yuuri because he builds so much off himself because of Victor.
However, he and Victor always find a way to make it work.
And that in itself is very precious.

Definitely my favorite part is the way Victor held Yuuri's hand *^*
(and briefly kissed it i think, like a small peck)

I like seeing how open Yuuri is now, especially towards other figure skaters.
I know in the beginning he was kind of cold-hearted (esp. towards Minami)
but that changed when Victor said something about it.
And you can see it in the same way too, Yuuri hugging nearly every figure skater shown today.
He wouldn't have done that before Victor was around, let alone go out of his way to talk to them.

And Yurio's performance. I'm glad he's had his moment to shine.
His performance was phenomenal and no one can tell me otherwise

Side note: (Reflecting about why Yuuri is my fav boy)
Yuuri is so candid, and his feelings are written all over his face.
I think that's one of the reasons why his tears always get to me. It's so heartfelt and genuine.
He is the epitome of Pure. Such a sweet child.

Very excited for the next episode!

I'm loving the rivalry between Yuuri and Yurio. (⋈◍>◡<◍)。✧♡

Yuuri and Victor are too adorable. Why did their reunion after just one day have to be so cute!?

the rivalry intensifies, the performance was one of the best so far, one more thing that pork cutlet yurio ate at the beginning looked so good. I'm hopping don't know if it will happen but I really want to see yuri and yurio perform in a doubles routine.

This episode was even better than usual. All the performances were amazing! And I liked all the music each skater danced to.
And lol at Yuri hugging everyone. I guess he was relieved for qualifying for the Grand Pix Final. Though Yurio was having none of it. XD

This episode was absolutely perfect! A roller coaster of emotions, beautiful skating and heartwarming moments ;_;. My favorite episode by far. That ending though ;_;. Doggo is fine as well, thank goodness. Also, as a side note, the 2 siblings "breaking up" was really emotional, I actually teared up a bit. Yurio was a best in this episode as well.

Perfect, perfect, perfect. It's great to see more of Yurio and particularly him being nice to Yuri - I feel like we've seen really nice character development in him. The skating was gripping, and for a while I was actually scared Yuri might not get through! The ending was beautiful, and I'm so relieved about Makkachin. I feel so happy after this episode <3

I'm really liking Yuri!!! on ice, think it may well be the highlight of fall 2016 for me. I've picked up like 10 shows this season and i have to say the Animation, Characters & soundtrack are all amazing for this show.

I loved the humour when Yuri went round hugging everyone and i'm glad that Viktor's dog is OK, such an emotional reunion at the end of the episode too.

OH MY GOD I don't even know where to begin. So much emotions in this episode. I love how Mickey let go Sala (or Sara I dunno) and then Yurio and Yuri are starting their friendship FINALLY!!! AAAnd of course that ending which seriously gave me a heart attack. Also Yurio was fantastic, and I loved when he almost started to cheer for Yuuri... yeah thanks a lot JJ.... naaah just kidding I love the Canadian bastard. xDD And when Yuuri hugged everyone that was hilarous. xDDD
Caaaaaan't wait for next week. *-*

Yurio stole the show and Mama Ballerina legit teared up.. I'm not really salty that JJ took the gold because technically he was still the best and Yurio still needs to evolve as a skater.

Did Pitchit make it to the finals? I'm gonna have to go back and re-watch.
I didn't understand Yakov's surprised reaction when Yuri was skating. To me it just seemed bad, tripping all over and doing a single spin... like what?

I teared up a little at the airport reunion tho. Victor pretty much admitted he wants to stay by Yuri's side forever ~kyaaaa

Great episode again.

Amazing performances as usual, Michel deserves praise for his farewell performance to his sister. Was really poignant yet elegant at the same time.

Yurio's performance was outstanding, He worked really hard there man. Nailing a perfect 6 jumps, Can't begin to imagine how tiring that would feel.

Yuri did quite well, Perhaps that's just me thinking it because the 'Yuri on Ice' soundtrack he performs to is like so fitting and amazing. Despite his initial mess ups he really managed to get his flow through the mid performance. I felt it was pretty emotional as he skated without Victor, Couldn't help but smile as he tried his best.

JJ was awesome just like last episode, He beat out Yurio and made it seem effortless.

Yuri hugging everyone was hilarious. XD
Really liking the rivalry between Yuri and Yurio, Was nice of him to comfort Yuri a bit after the Russia cup.

That ending though, Yuri tearing up when Victor said he didn't want Yuri to retire was really emotional.
Come on boys, Win that gold!

An extremely wholesome and satisfying episode for me. Which I thought would have otherwise been filled with contrived drama, and it addressed all my issues from the previous episode too.

From siblings letting go, amazing performance by Yurio (and JJ) , great chemistry between ALL characters, even better chemistry between our mains, to a healthy doggy.

Mind if I take this? haha.

I wonder if there was any significance to Crispino skating the routine in the OP? I was really expecting the Yuris and Victor to do it at some point towards the end so it could me off guard when I immediately recognized the ear pose.

Am I the only one who is continuously disappointed by Yuri's free skate program? It's such a beautiful program, and WE know he can do it, yet he always screws it up. I desperately want him to nail BOTH programs and show the world how wonderful it is. It pissed me off when the people watching said they'd rather see Victor skating it. I felt more broken hearted than usual after this episode, even with that absolutely fantastic reunion scene at the end. I want to see him in top form at the free skate. UGH. I'm tired of seeing him mess up. *sadface*

So... when's the wedding?

But seriously though, I've only teared up in 2 animes and this make it my 3rd time at the end. Beautiful animation, music and designs. The emotions were like a train from Las Vagas to Tokyo at lightning speed. Kind of glad that there is some friendliness in Yuri and Yurio's relationship. Look like next episode will be a break and it wil mainly surround Yuri and Victor's relationship-- also it's just been Yuri's birthday and Victor's is on Christmas.

I'm not the type to get anxious watching anime but waiting for Yuri to perform and then watching as he skated his program wondering how Victor not being there would affect him turned me into a complete ball of nerves. My heart can't really handle it. I'm sad he barely scraped by to the Final, but I guess this way it's more exciting this way considering the Final is the big climax of the series.

Some great character growth in Yurio, seeing him cheer for Yuri and acknowledge him as a rival then going so far as to cheer him up. Not only that but his free skate was really amazing. He pushed himself harder than ever before, super proud of him.

I liked the story going on with the two overly attached siblings. I know it's way over the top to the point of being creepy or concerning but I still somehow find it cute...

Glad Maccachin is ok, I was worried for a while. Maccachin is the only fictional dog in my heart I need him to stay haha.

Yuri and Victor meeting up again was so cute in so many ways. They really do have a great, healthy relationship and it's so heartwarming to see them together. I could really go on forever about why I love them so much, but I think I'll keep it short instead.

Huh, am I the only one who's kind of disappointed with the anime so far? I mean, I fell in love with the first three eps, but to me it seems really lukewarm after that, with the exception of a few truly brilliant moments.

Like what's with Viktor losing his "mojo" part of the story? Is it totally irrelevant and forgotten now?
Why is Yurio downgraded to a side-character? What's going on with Yurio's grandpa?
Why is most of the time spent on shows of skaters I can't give two fucks about, because I can't "connect" to them since they get like, 2 mins of screentime each? And it leaves less time to show Yuuri's worries and char development, too. Now it's shown mostly during the skating parts and Viktor-Yuuri interaction, and it seems crammed. :/
What's with overusing "katsudon" joke? What's with obligatory over-the-top "crazy" skater joke (Georgi, Mickey)? You can only use the same gag so many times.

Am I missing out on something? I mean it's not *bad*, it's average so far, but I honestly expected more from the show. I started watching it because i love Yamamoto Sayo's work. :v Maybe my expectations got in the way?

Maybe, I have low expectations because I have watched 1/3rd of all shonen ai available and almost all yaoi available. and I can tell you pretty much for sure, this is the best one available in those genres and actually takes it WAY slower than those. And the only one that takes it slower is Gravitation- Unless you want to count other off label shonen ai like No.6 and No. 6 isn't as good either... Shonen Ai is pathetic and I sit there and just deal you know? The only other legit good shonen ais if you include off label are

Neon Genesis Evangelion and depending on what your tastes for plot twists are... Samurai Flamenco. But honestly that came out of no where and it kinda did that in Eva too... This is the only time where it was front and center and developed naturally with the plot where it is like... they are seeming to actually try to have a good thing going. I am very much overjoyed.

Oh and I don't think they are moving too fast at all. If you want fast, try me and my husband, he moved in with me first day we met!

I have to say, at the beginning I never thought an ice skating anime would have me so emotionally invested.

I like how they've tried to show what's at stake for some of the other competitors as well; it makes it more tense and satisfying IMO when you know what the others are fighting for. I wonder if we'll see more of that in the next episode since it seems we'll be getting a break from the action.

Oh my goodness, this episode was nothing like the other! It was so beautiful-- the skating, the emotion -- but it was all over too soon.

Yeah, it might be completely different from what you expected from the first episodes, but I can't be the only one who may prefer this kind of episode to the others before, right? It's getting so much smoother in my opinion >< It was like taking a step back from the Viktuuri haze, taking a breath to appreciate the other characters, and slowly sinking back in.

Now all that's left is waiting a week till the next episode airs!

This episode was really interesting, yuri skating without Victor. Plus Yuri(o) free skate programme was spartan, dang so many jumps and he made it all, still he got second place. also somehow JJ is becoming an interesting character

the ending was actually decent. not gonna lie, I actually wanted to cry for the ending, not having victor their is so sad, plus asking vitor to coach for him until he retires like that, somehow its just so sweet. Plus the way Yuri hugged all the others, what the heck was that? it was funny though

Looking forward to the next episode. somehow this episode is the most not gay out of all the others.

Yurio was legit adorable this ep. His grandpa is daijoubu as well

He also lowkey rooted for Yuuri X3

That scene when Yuuri goes on a hugging spree XD. Leave no person unhugged.

That final scene where Yurio and Yuuri are being adorable mama and son XD

Oh my god was this episode a rollercoaster. It had me laughing one second and crying the next.

Yurio is absolutely adorable in this episode; those scenes he has with his grandpa, cheering for Yuri because he didn't want him to lose, and then bringing Yuri the pork cutlet Pirozkhi... (Aaaaand then he calls JJ a shithead during his performance lol) He probably hates to admit it, but he really does have a heart of gold.

The scene where Yuri was hugging everyone after the competition was hilarious :')

And don't even get me started on that ending scene. The reunion was beautifully executed! I love how Viktor and Yuri were running along the glass looking at each other before they finally jumped into each other's arms. You could literally feel how anxious they were to see each other. And when they did, I was so relieved. I don't know how to explain it, but I was so happy at that moment. And then there was the way Viktor pretty much said that he didn't want to ever leave Yuri's side...my heart hurts :'(
